Cle de Peau Beaute Luminizing Face Enhancer

I’ve been dying to write about Cle de Peau Beaute’s Luminizing Face Enhancer in Gold and Cle de Peau Beaute’s Luminizing Face Enhancer in Pastel for months! I previewed them awhile ago at an event and immediately was struck by the gorgeous design of the compact both come in – truly a work of art. Better yet the highlighting powder is not only complexion flattering it’s equally beautiful in design. I’ve been using the pastel one since I got a sample at an event in November on a near daily basis. I dust it all over my face with emphasis on my cheek bones, nose, and around my temples after applying powder foundation and blush and it gives my complexion that natural no-makeup look glow (check-out the beauty look at Vera Wang where the gold version was used). When you open the compact you’ll see right away the light reflecting quality of the luminizing powder and despite all the shades you see, the product doesn’t add much color — it’s all about brightening the skin. This is truly one of the best finishing products I’ve tried and I can’t imagine someone having anything negative to say after using it. I’d recommend the gold compact if your skin is on the darker side and the pastel if you’re fair like myself, though as you can see from Wang’s show one could use the gold on fair complexions as well since, again, very little color is actually added, if you’re looking for something warmer.

And the case…oh the case! I can’t get over how beautiful it is! It was designed by British jewelry designer Shaun Leane, who also designed the stunning necklace below to match the compact. Sadly the necklace is one-of-a-kind and not for sale, but if you’re in Tokyo it’s on display in the brand’s flagship boutique.

Both Face Enhancers are $95. Refills are available for $55
