I’m diligent about exfoliation during the summer months. There’s nothing worse than baring your legs or back and revealing scaly skin! But last summer, the abrasive scrubs I used actually gave me hives, plus made my skin too susceptible to sun exposure.
I tried the Infinity Sun Pineapple Exfoliating Skin Renewal and found it to be way less harsh than many others. At first, you won’t feel like you’re actually exfoliating, since it glides on like a lotion and we are so used to scrubbing our skin. (This, by the way, is so bad for you – physical, deep scrubbing can damage the upper dermis layer. And it’s even worse for babies and tots. I watched my girlfriend scrub her toddler from head to toe and kids don’t need this! Their skin is so sensitive, all you need is a gentle baby soap and some water!).
You just apply the lotion and leave it on for five minutes before rinsing in the shower or bath (it does feel cold in the winter though!). The natural pineapple fruit enzyme, Bromelain, in this unique formula rids you of dead skin cells and leaves your skin exfoliated and polished. After just two or three applications (in the span of one week), I noticed that my skin had a brighter and smoother texture to it. My favorites exfoliants for face masks are pineapple and papaya enzymes, so I’m psyched to discover this product for the body. By spring, I’ll be prepared to bare! At Infinity Sun for $35 (for 200 ml jar).
