Lanvin Ankle-Wrap Platform Snakeskin Sandal: Tangerine Dream

icon

Yep, I am still obsessing over Lanvin. Is it any surprise? Their shoes are a divine blend of effortless, informal style and the most luxurious details. Even after twisting my ankle (a shoe snob’s worst nightmare), I bought two more pairs of Lanvins that I cannot wear, but I do ogle at them daily.

Here might be another pair to add to the gaze-worthy collection. Orange karung snakeskin is enough to inspire one big swoon, but that seventies-style ankle bracelet – a snake chain, so it’s a double entendre of reptile – is crazy-good. It’s the kind of gutsy, throwback touch that takes a simple yet yummy sandal and makes it a must-have. With a tan (which I have year-round, so I can eventually get my money’s worth), these are sexy beyond anything. Available for pre-order at Bergdorf Goodmanicon for $1,385 (expected to ship by April 23rd).

Pair with: Inject some flow with Rebecca Taylor’s silk-crepe and broderie angliase dress. A handkerchief hem keeps the look light and keeps emphasis on the sandals. On Net-a-Porter for $395.
