Milan Fashion Week Beauty Recap III

Lucky for New York that it’s first in the line-up of the major Fashion Weeks, because it truly can’t compete with the excitement of Milan and Paris (and even London this season!). The dark and gothic trend continues and so, fittingly, there were even some Rooney Mara doppelgangers in the mix. Here’s a look at the latest standouts!

Emporia Armani: What a killer geometric cat eye. A burgundy shade from the Giorgio Armani Beauty Eyes to Kill collection was used to achieve this look and it was inspired by a trip to Japan.

Versace: Hello Rooney Mara! Donatella nailed it this season and even managed to pull-off Byzantine cross print looks. Her gothic collection was perfectly complemented by the long bob cuts, bleached brows, and black-black eyes, which Pat McGrath achieved with layers of black CoverGirl products: Liquiline Blast Eyeliner, Smoky Shadow Blast in Smoke, black cream shadow, shimmering onyx eye shadow, and 24 Hour Lash Blast Mascara.

Jil Sander: This look goes to show how powerful curling your lashes can be. Don’t the lashes look fantastic? No mascara was used on any of the models! As for the hair, Guido Palau, who created the look said it was the perfect ponytail for an evening out.

Bottega Veneta: By pairing a deep lip with light brows and minimal eye makeup, the beauty look at Bottega Veneta struck me as both dark and seductive simultaneously.

Iceberg: So Parisian chic! The models here reminded me of Emmanuelle Alt.
