This spring, MAC is focusing on two activities most snobs enjoy: shopping and cooking (although, I’m pretty sure the former wins out any day!). Their concept? Shop around all day, then cook up your fresh purchases in the kitchen – well, something like that! It’s a little retro, with shades that are lighthearted and fun. From the tongue-in-cheek to the super-savory, here’s my roundup of their latest kooky collection:
Available February 9, 2012 through April 5, 2012.
Cook MAC Tendertone Lip Balm: Not only do I love the pink-and-white gingham packaging, I’m obsessed with what’s inside! Tendertone Lip Balm is perfect for daily errands or going to the gym. With a light, natural finish and SPF12, it’s also ideal for skiing and outdoors activities when you don’t want a mouthful of makeup. At MAC for $15.
Shop MAC Kissable Lip Colour: This pigment-rich lip color, that has the impact of lipstick and comes in the form of a gloss, is on the dry side. Especially on thirst-prone winter lips. Besides, the color is slightly chalky – I would keep shopping around for a rich lip gloss. At MAC for $19.
Shop & Drop Eye Shadow X4: I love this eye shadow quad! I could never do purple as my eyelids protrude, but the violet and blue shades (ranging from light pink matte to frosted gray mauve to pearly purple to satiny deep blue) are vibrant and gorgeous. At MAC for $38.
