L’Occitane Cherry Blossom Collection

What better time than right in the middle of the National Cherry Blossom Festival to highlight L’Occitane’s Cherry Blossom Collection? Is anyone in D.C. right now?? I’ve never been during their Cherry Blossom season, but the photos I’ve seen are unbelievable! Not to mention Cherry Blossoms are just one more reason, on an already long list, why I one day hope to make it to Japan. In the meantime…… L’Occitane’s collection is a great complement (and a good frugal snob alternative), to the limited edition Sakura Cherry Blossom collection Jo Malone launched this time last year. The feminine-floral products are formulated with cherry extract and are part of L’Occitane’s permanent collection. I have to say that though I like the Cherry Blossom Shimmering Lotion — it’s lightweight and its shimmer is very slight so it works as a summer-time all-over moisturizer — I’m still partial to the brand’s Almond Milk Concentrate — love love love the Almond smell! L’Occitane’s Almond products were actually some of my first “beauty splurges” back in the day and I still frequently buy them. That said, Almond is definitely a love it or hate it kind of a scent, so if you’re looking for something softer, the Cherry Blossom collection includes –

· Eau de Toilette 1.7fl oz ($40)

· Cherry Blossom Soap ($5)

· Petal Soft Hand Cream ($26)

· Bath & Shower Gel ($20)

· Shimmering Lotion ($25)

As an added bonus all the products are a pastel pink shade, which adds a nice bright touch to vanities this time of year:)

DO YOU LOVE IT OR HATE IT?

  1. Oh, I bet I would love this! I’m a huge fan of Bath and Body Works’ Japanese Cherry Blossom shower gel and lotion. This sounds similar.
