Moroccanoil Launches Skincare

Moroccanoil launched in the U.S. about three years ago and ever since argan hair oils have been all the rage. I discovered the brand’s oil a few seasons ago when they worked on the hair looks for J. Mendel. They were able to achieve a controlled frizzy look unlike any I had seen before and I’ve been using their signature hair oil ever since to help control my nightmare-ish summertime frizz! Now the brand is expanding with skincare. They’ve partnered with the likes of Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, Trump, and Canyon Ranch so if you plan on getting a luxe massage anytime soon make sure to look out for them! Slowly but surely the five piece collection is also rolling out at retailers including Henri Bendel and Fred Segal.

I’m hoping to head to Canyon Ranch in Lenox this month (I am SOOOO in need of a “Eat Pray Love” moment), so I’ll be sure to report back if I get a chance to try a treatment with these new products. Each product uses argan oil and the collection includes a scrub, a moisturizer, a hydrating treatment, a hand-and-nail cream, and a body soap. Orange peel, sesame oil, sweet almond oil, organic chamomile water, and mango butter are among the ingredients included in the formulations and each product comes in one of three aromatherapy-based fragrances (honey-lavender, orange peel, and the classic Moroccanoil scent). The therapeutic spa treatments offered at the spas I mentioned above use the Body Soufflé and Intense Hydrating Treatment for a variety of body treatments and even a mani/pedi. Not that anyone really needs an excuse to get pampered, but if ever there was a reason to hit up Canyon Ranch or Four Seasons….

  1. These sound really interesting! I bet the orange-peel fragrance is fantastic; it’s one of my favorite scents. Honey-lavender sounds great too.
