Nicholas Kirkwood Flower-Print Pump: Who Are You Calling a Wallflower?

You know what they say: April showers bring May flowers. Well, I don’t think I can wait until May for this bouquet! Never expect stiletto visionary Nicholas Kirkwood to deliver some run-of-the-mill floral pattern. Or an old-fashioned satin pump, for that matter. While these shoes fall into all those categories, they look anything but ordinary. No regular garden variety here. From afar, you’d call the shape classic, but on closer inspection, you notice a funky little bump in the heel and an offbeat square-round toe. Against the backdrop of a crosshatched design, these blossoms have a badass effect.

I’m seeing these as spot-on bridal-shower shoes. Or even bridal shoes, if you’re the type to walk down the aisle in your own fierce way. Pumps like these call for a very specific occasion, for sure, but in the right setting, they are oh, so pretty. Which gets me thinking…I’m going to a garden party in a few weeks. Maybe I need to bring these along to the floral fiesta and do my part for the atmosphere! At Kirna Zabête for $695.

Pair with: These would look freshly-cut with Oscar de la Renta’s Cara clutch, a notice-me angular design that comes in every color and texture your heart could desire. Oscar de la Renta Cara Clutch, $1,795-$2,750.
