Thakoon Rampling Satchel: Reap the Rewards of the Rampling

Thakoon‘s Rampling satchel is one of my favorite spring bags; I have it in turquoise ostrich, a combo I can never get enough of. Like all my favorites, this bag is as easy to manage as it is on the eyes. Don’t be fooled by the buckle. The double-sided front-flap has a magnetic closure for easy access, whether you decide to carry it as a top-handle, shoulder bag, or crossbody. I used mine during Fashion Week in Milan and it kept all my invitations organized (yes, they still send out good ol’ fashioned invitations in Europe).

The Rampling is an instant trademark for Thakoon. With subtle details, like a braided handle, knotted side straps, folded origami corners, and brushed-gold studs (that actually function as buttons), it’s the ultimate embodiment of the designer and his brand of timeless yet edgy chic.

Now I’m thinking I need the red one as well (with a pair of white skinny jeans?! Yes!). When I love a bag’s shape and functionality, I buy it in multiple colors. Looks like my aqua ostrich will be gaining a few sisters! On ShopBop for $1,890.

Pair with: Deep, true red would pair nicely with Chloé’s cutout wedges. A scalloped effect of white leather and a natural wedge makes for an effortless summer choice. On Net-a-Porter for $595.
