Steal the Look: Stella McCartney Resort 2013 Runway

In fashion, the word “cool” is about as overused as a beloved Céline luggage tote. But, really, you just don’t get much cooler than a Stella girl. Case in point, the dewy, pretty-rebel faces of the ladies who just modeled McCartney’s Resort 2013 collection. Makeup artist Jeanine Lobell amped up the designer’s trademark fresh, undone look with some graphic smoldering eyes for a hint of danger.

Here’s how to score the nonchalant It-girl vibe for yourself, courtesy of Sunday Riley cosmetics. It’s so simple and so chic. Stella and Sunday: a match-made in natural-beauty heaven!

1. Create a deliciously smooth base by blending the Juno Serum ($125) and Tinted Primer ($48). Voila! An impeccable complexion.

2. Go for the eyes – that’s where you want the emphasis to be. Draw a super-straight line of Gel Pencil in Pitch Black under your lower lash line, for maximum badass attitude. Then highlight your lashes with Mascara ($30) in Obsedian Black.

3. Counter your eyeliner with a sweet, “healthy” cloud of blush. Sunday’s Blush ($30) in the aptly named shade of Blushing creates an upbeat mood.

4. To finish off this simple yet striking face, mix up two shades of lippy and blend them with your (clean) finger tip: Modern Lip Color ($32) in Trench Coat (taupe-nude) and Marie Antoinette.

  1. I am so in love with that smouldering eye look! Have to say I think it works even better with the minimal look to the rest of the face. Thanks for sharing your picks and tips!
