Frugal Friday: House of Harlow 1960’s Mint Minaudieres

A good clutch is not exactly hard to find, but a good clutch for an even better price? Those don’t come along every day. I’ve got to give Nicole Richie credit: her vintage-inspired House of Harlow 1960 line has really stepped it up for Fall with the Marley clutch. Snake-embossed leather is admittedly the next best thing, but it when it’s executed well, it does the job. Especially when it’s finished with a noteworthy closure. This bedazzled tiger head speaks of McQueen’s skull without veering into copycat territory. Plus, the wildcat detail makes the Marley look much more expensive than under $300.

Black and deep cobalt blue are sure to get a good deal of wear, but it’s the multiple-tone variations that look like something special. I’m torn between the two: I love the chic neutrality of graduating black to white, but the acid-tripping rainbow palette is irresistible. Besides, a teeny box bag is the moment for all-out color.

Available for pre-order on Luisa via Roma for $274 each (expect delivery by September 15th).
