One of our favorite bag designers, Joy Gryson, has just proven you do not need buckets of money to have good taste. Actually, quite the contrary. I wholeheartedly agree with her outlook; I find girls on a budget to be more stylish and resourceful than those who buy complete looks off the runway (which can end up looking generic).
Joy has really done it this time with the launch of her latest line, IIIBeCa (as in downtown neighborhood TriBeCa). These bags aren’t just great-looking, practical satchels ranging between just $98 and $198. And while they are available in a plethora of colors and styles, from the roomy Reade Street tote to the Duane Street messenger to the super-slim Chambers crossbody to the classic North Moore satchel, all of which come with a removable nylon pouch (which snaps in and out for total convenience), that’s not even the best part.
Joy, a true New Yorker, is donating 3% of all wholesale proceeds to three non-profit NYC organizations: the 911 Memorial, Family Focus Adoption Services, and Sloan Kettering Cancer center. Style, accessibility, and compassion: Joy has all the bases covered.
Available for pre-order at IIIBeCa (to ship by July 25th).
