Chanel Coco Noir

Chanel Allure was one of the first fragrances I ever consistently wore, but its been a long while since I’ve spritzed it on. Not that I don’t still love the scent, but I don’t love wearing something that so many people can easily recognize (on more than one occasion a guy has recognized it because a girl he had previously dated wore it…). Chanel has now officially won me back however with Chanel Coco Noir (1.7 oz. $98; 3.4 oz. $130). In one word – amazing! The scent, which just launched on Friday, is a very sexy, fairly aggressive scent and maybe it’s the warm notes like sandalwood, but there’s a manly (in a good way) tinge to it. The fragrance notes include grapefruit, bergamot, rose, jasmine, patchouli, and sandalwood – these notes make the scent sound a lot lighter than it is however. I definitely would not call this a feminine or floral scent by any stretch of the imagination. Instead it’s an seductive oriental that I think anyone who is a fan of Tom Ford’s White Suede would love. And it’s got a chic and seductive bottle to match:)
