Marc by Marc Jacobs Colorblock Burg Boxer Tote: Hitting Another Marc

MJ is heating things up lately! I haven’t been this obsessed with him since 2003! Whatever this new energy that has hit his studios is, it spells a new lust for bags for the big-name designer who has left me feeling a little lackluster in recent seasons past. The spell is broken, to say the least. I adore athletic stripes on a day bag, and the clean lines and luxurious look of this Marc by Marc Jacobs tote actually reminds me of my sporty Hermès Birkin. And, well, you know that’s a big compliment. Especially when the buck stops at a mere 400. Honestly, I might like the racing vibe of this bag even better! Colorful yet neutral (grayed periwinkle and slick, deep red are offbeat), this carries like an über-practical carryall (shoulder-strap included) but it doesn’t read like one. All it says to me is Marc is back with a great, big bang. On Ssense for $400.

I have been a follower of Bag Snob for years and love your Pinterest board. After reading this article about Marc Jacobs not paying their models, I am no longer a fan of the brand and plan to boycott buying any of their bags. What are your thoughts on this?
