Marni Python Mini Shoulder Bag: This Marni’s So Money

Fellow snobs, meet my current obsession. Yes, sure, it’s Marni and python (and you know I’m a sucker for both), but in this case, it’s actually other elements that have me doing cartwheels: the sleek, slim curve of top-handled hardware and the rad, natural-looking way the shoulder straps attach to it. And, of course, a cocktail of dove-gray python mixed with soft gold hardware, plus a naughty pop of black leather, is simply amazing.

Then pull the straps off, and presto: you’ve suddenly got yourself a super-cool, little top-handled clutch. For a daytime luncheon, this is sheer perfection. The interior has three compartments, so your functional needs are covered, and you know what this kind of combination means. This is a bag you will be wearing to death, rather than switching out all the time. At Saks Fifth Avenue for $2,160.

Pair with: If I’m strutting into a high-end lunch affair, I’ll want to be wearing Giuseppe Zanotti’s chocolaty cutout band sandals. The ultra-wide straps comfortably hold your foot in place, while that mean heel screams danger. At Barneys New York for $850.

  1. I love it and it looks beautiful on the Saks website. When I first read the description I thought $850 – AMAZING! Alas, that is for the shoes. Minor deduction for the strap – it looks like a cheap afterthought…
