Giuseppe Zanotti Laced Double-Zipper Tall Boot: Don’t Take These In Stride

Sometimes you know what you want, but you just can’t decide. For instance, you’re hell-bent on wearing a killer knee-high boot (it is unofficially fall, so the time has come), but all-leather just feels too severe. Enter Giuseppe Zanotti’s Jekyll and Hyde boot – at least, as I’m affectionately calling it – for the conflicted woman (and aren’t we all?).

A fussy tower of endless laces is smartly contrasted with a smooth, seamed leather back and, for my favorite detail, a sexy villain-worthy, mirrored metal heel. A long and strong, yet unimposing zipper introduces a necessary element of convenience (because we only want to look like we’ve tortured ourselves with those painstaking laces), while black felt coating the front calms everything down. Calmer, yes, but this is still a boot to awaken the senses. Particularly those of a sensual nature. I’m surely snapping these up now, but this is probably not a shoe I want to wear during Fashion Week. Save these babies for less standing and walking and more sitting and sipping! At Bergdorf Goodman for $1,895.
