Spring 2013 NYFW Beauty Recap Part III

VPL: PHYTOA’s Bob Recine created this four-handed fishtail braid using PHYTO Professional Workable Holding Hairspray. It was then topped off with a black head strap…a little creepy no!?

3.1 Phillip Lim: NARS’ Francelle Daly said he was going for ‘sophisticated rocker chick’ with this look and with the dewy cheeks and long lashes I’d say he did a great job. I’m loving the matte lip as well. He used Biscayne Park Satin Lip Pencil (new for Spring 2013) and Light Reflecting Setting Powder – Pressed (also new for Spring 2013).

Marc Jacobs:  How stunning are those brows? Francois Nars, who always leads the beauty team at Marc Jacobs himself, created this look and he used Bali or Bengali Eyeshadow to achieve those beautiful thick brows. When asked about the look Nars said “she’s a typical Marc girl. Very New York City, very chic, very interesting.” Sheer Glow Foundation and new for Spring 2013 Radiant Creamy Concealer were used to give the models their porcelain complexion.

Zac Posen: I love the soft wave John Frieda’s global creative consultant Luigi Murenu created at Zac Posen. It was the perfect complement to the designer’s elaborate gowns. To get the look keep the crown frizz-free by applying a dime-sized amount of Frizz-Ease Hair Serum Original Formula, smoothing hair downward from the top of the head to below the ear. Next apply Frizz-Ease Curl Reviver Styling Mousse evenly through hair and brush to uniformly distribute product. Create a severe middle part and blow dry completely, brushing hair back and away from the face to make the hair at the crown flat and smooth. With a 1” curling iron, create a wave by wrapping small sections of hair twice around the barrel. Make sure to stop before reaching the nape of the neck in order to keep the crown flat. Brush hair out to create one uniform wave. Follow with Frizz-Ease Moisture Barrier Firm Hold Hairspray to keep style in place.
