Best Bows

I wore a perforated leather bow tie on a chain to the Luisaviaroma Black and White Party, but it doesn’t have to be formal, not in the least. I can’t wait to wear it with a tee shirt and skirt! Whether you’re wrapping your hair up in satin ribbons or cinching your skirt together, bows make dressing fun and add a dash of femininity to any outfit (even bowties). They’re a godsend to wear on days when you’re feeling blah. Pop a bow on and you’re instantly cute and girly. They can be playful or mature, decorative or functional – I’ll take them all! Here are the best bow accessories to wrap on:

Red Valentino Nappa Leather Bow Bracelet: Ironically, this isn’t a bow you tie. The sweet design is fused with an edgy leather cuff to create a bracelet that you buckle together. Available in red or black on Luisa via Roma for $155.

Alexander Olch Solid Bow Tie: Handmade from English wool, this asymmetrical berry bright bow tie would be a cute menswear accessory to add to a colorful top and mini skirt. At Barneys New York for $110.

Red Valentino Leather Bow Headband: This headband also comes in chic black leather, but the girly rose color is so precious and fresh that I have to lean towards the pastel. On Luisa via Roma for $104.

Ben Amun Crystal Bow Brooch: Even silver-plated, this crystal brooch looks like flowy, streaming ribbons. It would add a cool touch of sparkle to a bright dress or scarf. On Charm & Chain for $220.

Rodarte Bracelet: The perforated bow on this Rodarte bracelet is interesting, but the fanned edges and texturing on the cuff are what I’m drawn to the most. On Yoox for $230 (from $455).

My leather bow tie was purchased at Bloomingdales at the Beverly Center, $130, but unfortunately it is not available online.
