Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder
Hourlgass is one of those brands that can do no wrong in my eyes. Every product they come out with is consistently stellar (I don’t know what I would do without their primer…even Tom Ford’s doesn’t have as silky of a texture. And their mascara! Their mascara is amazing!). Their latest launch is called Ambient Lighting Powder ($45) and it became a favorite after the first swipe. I’ve been putting on liquid foundation, which I set with some powder foundation before applying blush. I then use a brush to apply the lighting powder all over my face. It gives my skin just the right amount of glow so it looks natural, healthy, and it’s so easy to apply…I seriously apply it haphazardly all over and it always looks great because of how subtle the glitter is. This is one of the few products I’ve tried that 100% lives up to claims of leaving you with luminous complexion (the others were this highlighter from Estee Lauder and this one from Cle de Peau).

A new favorite!

  1. At the age of fifty I am always looking for a extremely light powder that gives me some “healthy glow” because I will never look healthy to anyone especially myself. Truth be told I am not healthy I have been ill since 1988. My undernourished 100 pound weight from being ill had caused my bones in my face to be quite prominent and quite frankly maybe the Ambient Lighting Powder would “boost up my morale” in some way. For myself, the price of the powder is somewhat steep for me as I am on Social Security disability with extremely low funds. As I was reading your article above the word “glow”, “natural”, and not as much “glitter” as most of these types of powders brought me hope and just maybe I will not be so subconscious about bringing so much attention to my face.
