Fabergé Egg Pendants: A Few of My Favorite Things

Fabrege Egg Pendants

It’s one of those strange years when Easter falls in March, so get ready for the bunny ASAP! Here’s what I’m hoping he’ll bring me (he brings presents to adults, too, right??) – Fabergé’s adorable egg pendants. Sure, they’re not the kind of jewels you can wear 365 days a year, but with pieces this special, you’d only want to bring them out on the best of occasions, anyway. An homage to Peter Carl Fabergé’s original eggs, the aptly-titled Favorites collection offers over 60 styles, ranging from simply embellished gold to carved hardstones like turquoise to a rainbow spiral of gems. Considering Fabergé was the goldsmith to the Russian Imperial Court, a very noticeable amount of inspiration was taken from the country and its culture, including Fabergé’s famous cigarette cases, traditional Russian lacquer work, the Rococo period, Leo Tolstoy’s novel Anna Kareninna, and the Russian Ballet. It will probably take you the next couple of weeks to pick a favorite of The Favorites, but take your time – these are true investments! Inquire at Fabergé.
