Frugal Friday: Annabel Ingall Jojo Crossbody Bag

Annabel Ingall Jojo Crossbody

I was recently this-close to buying a similar bag from Céline, and now I’m so glad I didn’t. I’ll save Céline for more serious bag; this casual runaround number is just the kind that appeals to the Frugal Snob in all of us. Annabel Ingall’s welcome substitute comes with three fully formed compartments; the two on the ends (sandwiching the main pouch) are both removable with strong snaps. This is function at its best, allowing you to transition from a small to larger bag – and back again – in literally a snap. I keep cosmetics and loose ends in one; then use it as a handy pouch when I need a bigger bag. With such convenience, you should also expect the strap to be adjustable and it is, for crossbody or shoulder.

I got the khaki, which is a bit olive: a perfect neutral that’s still light enough for summer, perfect to offset brights and coordinate with muted beachy tones alike. The quality, although obviously not Céline-level, is actually pretty amazing for the price. The pebbled leather is very nice, the seams are neat and clean, and the zippers are rather high-end. Bags like this make your life easier. It’s the ideal easy accompaniment to summer travel, sight-seeing, trips to the farmers’ market, and any kind of busy running around. On Shopbop for $299.
