Valextra Fall 2013 Collection: Grow Into Your Skin

Valextra Lady Bag

The subtle sophistication of Valextra: I never tire of it. In a world of love-‘em-and-leave-‘em bags, Valextra is like a port in the trend storm. Their Fall 2013 collection is no exception to their high standards of timeless luxury. Dedicated to independent women who thrive on their own positive energy, this is an array of serious bags that will fit into your wardrobe, without disappearing into the crowd. They might require the right eye to be noticed, but they are simply too substantial to fade away.

The Eclectic collection makes for a versatile group, adding new hardware details without shedding the brand’s core strength: beautifully crafted leather. Soft calfskin comes in a plethora of new styles. The Lady bag is just that: refined and mature, with a partial Art Deco-inspired chain-strap for spice, while the cuter, more youthful Sally still manages to keep things simple. Take the smart Tuile out for the workday (choose between three sizes for whatever you do) for total confidence. A complement to your razor-heeled pumps, the expanding design welcomes an iPad and loose papers. Then let the Smile hobo introduce some much-needed slouch; I’d opt for water-resistant suede in black or caramel and smile through the season. Available at Valextra and exclusively in the US at Barneys New York.

  2. such a gorgeous collection

  3. Thanks. It’s really nice that you wrote this post, a very accurate one. I, as Italian living in Milan, appreciate so much our Italian “Hermes” (the way we all call Valextra), the refined quality of their products, the “unnoticed” luxury. I must tell you however, for the many people dreaming of it but not happy of the prices, we also have a Valextra factory store in Milan offering on the old collections discounts from 40 to 70%. :)
