Terveer Perfume Oil: Green is Good

Terveer Perfume Oil

What I love about Terveer is that they use rich natural oils that warm up better on your skin than the average spray-on perfume. The scents aren’t overly formulated – just simple, familiar, and lovely. The founders Annie and Therese Gibson are sisters who grew up on a farm in Southern Minnesota, so their Green perfume is a mix of the fig leaves, grass, and ivy you’d find there. It’s an unusual fragrance with a fresh, clean scent that’s great when you’re in the mood for a change from the basic floral or musky perfumes. For me, the oils brought to mind the great outdoors, mossy forests, and that organic vegetable garden I’ve been meaning to plant (and that will remain a fantasy since I can’t even keep a cactus alive!). The oil comes in a gorgeous metal case that’s perfect for travel. It’s pretty pricey, but at least you can buy a refill vial ($85) when you run out instead of a whole new set. The sisters started Terveer in honor of their mom, so this is would be a sweet Mother’s Day gift! Available exclusively at Barneys New York for $185.

  1. Thanks for the heads up on this. I have been looking for a fresher perfume for months. I am fed up of the sickly floral notes in some and the heavy musk in a lot of others. This one sounds to be just what I am looking for so I will go and give it a sniff, next time I am in Barneys. Thanks
