Frugal Snob: Salma Hayek’s Nuance

I’m a huge fan of Salma Hayek because of her entrepreneurial ventures. She’s the woman behind Cooler Cleanse and in 2011 she launched a range of beauty, hair, and skin products called Nuance, sold exclusively at CVS. I was sent a few skin product to try out and was impressed at how light and clean the scents were. I find that unlike most drugstore skincare products hers aren’t overly fruity or flowery. Her formulations are also fast absorbing and easy to spread despite being on the ticker side, which is nice if you’re in a rush and applying moisturizer/face creams before you get dressed to leave for the day.

A number of the formulations are inspired by Salma’s grandmother, who finished a cosmetology program and is a Paris-trained cosmetologist, and there are now over 150 products to choose from. The packaging is also simple and clean, so it will blend in nicely on most people’s vanities!
