Street Style Roundup: The Paris Couture 2013 Scene

Street Style Roundup

Fashion people love a good juxtaposition and few fashion weeks bring them out like the Paris Couture shows. From the out-of-this-world runway looks to the high-contrast street scene, it’s a delicious eyeful. Some street-style stars, like Caroline Issa, perfect their unique take on insouciant yet ladylike glam. The Eurasian beauty is one of my favorites to stalk – she makes any and everything look amazing. Her Jimmy Choo bag, slung crossbody, is the ideal punctuation for metallic flats and breezy pleats.

Off-duty models are still staying faithful to their leather jackets (a la brands like H&M, and Kooples), and let their bags do the heavy lifting: Lovisa Haag makes her Zara tote look like a million bucks, and Steffy shows off her Chanel Boy bag. As for the rest of the insider pack, I love little Mira Duma, as colorful and optimistic as ever, and her croc Hermès Kelly. And I’m experiencing major envy of ADR’s mini Kelly pochette, but should we start a thread of age appropriate skin-flashing? (Even if it’s due to gorgeous Balenciaga!) And does skinny really feel better than a hot fudge sundae tastes? I don’t think so. But it’s the bag that counts, right?!
