Marc by Marc Jacobs Know When To Fold Em: And When to Keep Em

Marc by Marc Jacobs Know When To Fold Em

There’s something about a stark, graphic black and white bag that is so soothing to the eye. The clean, minimalist canvas allows you to make it your own. The modern touch is an instant update when you feel your wardrobe is getting stale (a weekly occurrence for all of us, right??!!). I almost picked up the new Céline crossbody shopper at Barneys the other day to replace the Trio that everyone seems to have, but alas, I need to plan out my Fall bags and not just cater to my whims (yes, there is a maniacal plan to this obsessive thing called “bag collecting”). This Marc by Marc Jacobs speaks to my gambling sensibilities with the name. I won a poker tournament the other day by adhering to rule number one – Know When To Fold Em. But other than the clever name, there’s not much gambling going on here. This is a definite keeper – a staple that will take you day-to-night and a price that will keep you flush with cash if you happen to like playing cards. Sizable white pockets appear on both sides, giving you ample access to the things you need to keep handy. The adjustable strap can go from shoulder to crossbody. It doesn’t look like colorblocking is going anywhere, and with black and white, you’re sure to never veer too far into trendy territory. At Saks Fifth Avenueicon for $328.

Also check out this Balenciaga tote –  loving this literally edgy shape. At Fancy for $1,500.
