Get the Look: 70s Eyelashes

70s eyelashes

One of the best trends to come out the runways this season were 70s eyelashes – namely because it’s one that any woman would look great sporting and it’s easy to achieve! Designers like Thakoon, Dries Van Noten, and Donna Karan sent out models with these long, almost spidery-like lashes, which entailed wearing falsies that were curled and then covered with multiple layers of black mascara. In some cases lashes were even individually applied before being coated for an extra fringe-like look. Combined with black liner, a winged out eye (love the natural, bronzy look created above for Donna Karan), and a sheer gloss or balm, this makes for the perfect minimal makeup look. I don’t wear falsies often – a few good coats of Benefit, Tom Ford, or Chantecaille usually do the trick – but for extra understated drama there are a bunch of easy-to-use ones sold at an affordable price at Sephora as part of their own collectionicon (as well as other brandsicon).
