Jimmy Choo Solar Leather Hobo Bag: The Big Bangle Theory

Jimmy Choo Solar Leather Hobo Bag

Hello, Jimmy Choo! It looks like the brand took a little sabbatical and has now returned to entice me with yet another lusty must-have. First the partially handcuffed Ally, then a gang of cocktail-loving clutches, and now this upgraded everyday bag: Jimmy Choo is on a winning streak.

The kidney shape is not only lightly edgy, but it also provides ergonomic function that will make you want this at your side all year long. The details (and the leather’s ability to eventually crinkle in the most delightful of ways) connote a freewheeling bohemian attitude. But think jet-set and aspirational, not hippy-dippy granola. Shiny bangles are blingy, for sure, so if you’re not in the mood, you’re in luck: the shoulder strap unclips and they slide off. If your hands are small enough, then they can even be worn as actual bracelets. The small version is adorable, but may not provide the space you need on a daily basis; I prefer the large gray version for maximum impact. Jimmy Choo Solar Leather Hobo Bag in large grey, $1,450, and small black, $1,425, on Luisa via Roma.

Pair with: Avoid more wrist candy, and go for a bold yet rustic ring, like Oscar de la Renta’s amazonite and quartz showstopper. On NET-A-PORTER for $190.
