I am a creature of habit when it comes to fragrance. Partly because I want people to know who’s there when I creep up behind them (no, but really), and partly so that my boy will always think of me when he smells anything remotely similar to my scent. Florals are my favorite – especially white flowers like gardenia – which is why the new Cartier La Panthere eau de parfum seems made for me. Developed by the brand’s in-house perfumer Mathilde Laurent, who believes, “Every woman has a feline side, and every flower bears animal notes at its heart,” the scent of gardenia opens up into an animalistic musk evocative of Cartier’s signature panther. The mix of ladylike florals and masculine musk creates a series of complex notes that will linger around even after you’ve gone, which means you will forget me not. At Cartier boutiques and select department stores in March for $72 (30 ml), $103 (50 ml), and $135 (75 ml).
