Go big or go home? No way! The “bigger is better” creed might apply to certain things, but bigger is not always better when it comes to bags. But shrinking things down doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice a beloved bag style. This season, it’s all about the miniaturized versions of our cherished bags.
Like the Clare: the Clare bag is one of my favorites from Chloé. While the full-sized version exudes easy confidence, it’s even more charming now that’s received the miniaturized treatment. The same hardware details, like a chain-trimmed strap and gorgeously bold gold bar along the layered front flap, are still in tact, yet the mini is perfectly proportioned in every aspect (a shrunken size makes for a bit of pert, perky volume when done right, and these edges have it).
This is so cute you’ll want to start a collection! Or it’s at least enough to make you conjure up a silly new mantra: go small for the long haul! Chloé Mini Clare Bag on NET-A-PORTER for $1,555.
Pair with: Achieve a sassy sense of contrast with Versace’s cropped sweater. The bright, gutsy stripes and Medusa-button accents give a nod to the good side of ‘80s excess. At MATCHESFASHION.COM for $846.
