J. Mendel Melodie Clutch: Simply the Best

J. Mendel Melodie Clutch

Wow! It’s love at first sight! And J. Mendel has given us so much to love in a single, slim clutch. From the distinctly simple shape to the naturally textural snakeskin flap, the Melodie is chic and luxurious to the max.

While this mostly calfskin clutch is undeniably elegant, it’s not straight-up mature. This is refinement with a twist. The handle is ingenious: it folds perfectly flat when you’re using it as a true clutch, then snaps back into a beautiful top-handle once extended. The highly ridged texture of the metal, complimenting the closure (evocative of an abstract bow), just adds to the intrigue. As for the interior, this should be the interior featured on all clutches. With a center zip-compartment, sandwiched between two organizational slots, it’s perfectly designed.

All in all, this is quite simply the best clutch I’ve seen in a long time. An investment well worth the generous price tag. J. Mendel Melodie at Barneys New Yorkicon for $2,900.

Pair with: Sex it up with a pair of seriously hot boots. With lacing up to here and cutouts galore, Francesco Russo’s knee-high gladiator boots are not for the faint of heart. At Bergdorf Goodmanicon for $2,995.
