Frugal Snob: (Very) Limited Edition Maybelline Bleached Neons Collection

Frugal Snob

I’m not gonna lie – my favorite polishes are Tom Ford. He’s got a killer color selection, you only need one coat, and they last forever…but $32 isn’t exactly conducive to buying up the whole collection. While Ford’s polishes are mostly staple, season-less colors, for something fun and fleeting check-out Maybelline‘s new line of polishes. Available this month only the collection is called Bleached Neons and each shade goes for just $3.99. What I love about these shades is, just like the name suggests, they’re bleached neons – meaning they’re bright and fun, but not over-the-top, cheesy ’80s (though there is totally a place for that and I have a soft spot for essie’s neon collection circa 2008). Aside from the blue and green, all the shades are pretty easy to pull off with most outfits especially since they’re glossy, but have no shimmer. The one downside is that you’ll need a good three coats if you want them to be opaque, but the polish is fast drying.
