Jérôme Dreyfuss Eliot Ponyhair & Leather Small Bag: Something to Fawn Over

Jérôme Dreyfuss Eliot Ponyhair & Leather Small Bag

The saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, but the latest variations on Jérôme Dreyfuss’ well-loved bag styles have me thinking that change can be a good thing. A very good thing. First we had the surprisingly refined denim/snakeskin update on the Edouard, and now Jérôme has called on the spirit of woodland creatures to revamp the Eliot. This man’s on a roll.

If there’s an animal print that can inspire tears of joy, it’s fawn. Caramel-colored ponyhair feels extra delicate covered in pretty, white spots, a stark contrast to the aggressive look of prints like leopard or zebra. They can be intimidating, and while there’s nothing wrong with that, I like that this bag conjures up images of Bambi and that sense of softness and vulnerability. The versatility of the color palette certainly doesn’t hurt either. What would you pair it with? Available on Forzieriicon for $885.
