For his mere 30 years, Joseph Altuzarra isn’t just an especially precocious designer. He makes elevated clothes for the fully realized, fully grown woman. Happily, his latest venture is no exception. Runway versus real life? Where many designers have trouble bridging the gap, Joseph has effortlessly solved the equation with his highly covetable, entirely wearable collection for Target.
Joseph says he was inspired by the concept of “this woman who goes around the world and is inspired by all of the different places she goes,” and a sense of well-traveled exoticism comes by way of Japanese orchid screen prints, Swiss dot details, and blousy, Romanian-style tops. Loosely draped, boldly belted dresses deliver amped-up sex appeal, and elements of softness and slink are countered with sharp blazers. And of course, it wouldn’t be an Altuzarra collection without a stiletto boot or two.
The sexy python pattern announces, these are pieces for the woman who doesn’t shy away from anything. Except maybe outrageous price tags – nothing in the 50-piece collection is over $90! Altuzarra for Target available September 14th at Target and on NET-A-PORTER.
