London Fashion Week Spring 2015 Trend Alert: All Natural

The natural beauty trend we saw take over the runways in New York – taken to the extreme at Marc Jacobs where the designer sent out his models more or less completely au natural – re-appeared in London. Here’s a look at some standouts.

Preen bks Z RS15 0004

A unique take on this trend was seen at Preen where models were given faux freckles. While I can’t imagine anyone actually giving themselves faux freckles it’s an adorable look and really…why not?! If you are looking for some spots, stay out of the sun and instead opt for some self tanner like Vita Liberata Tinted Self Tan Mousse ($37.50). Apply it with a thin paintbrush.

At Erdem, Val Garland for NARS Cosmetics created the look which she describes as “romantic…beautifully organic with a dewy complexion.” Dewy complexion – that is my thing! And I have THE product to get this look. It’s one of my favorites of all times – Clé de Peau Beauté Luminizing Face Enhancer ($95). People always comment on my skin when I wear this product and what’s amazing about it is that you can apply it haphazardly all over your face and it will still look completely natural! I layer the Luminizing Enhacer over liquid and powder foundation, concealer, and blush, but it works fine on its own, especially if you’re trying to stick to the natural, low maintenance route.

For a more natural, but “I’m a party girl and had fun last night” take on the trend check out Amanda Wakeley whose minimal makeup, finished with a bronze-red eye, was beautifully complemented by another running trend, the wet hair look.
