I have tried so hard to find products that keep my skin as effectively clear as Proactiv+ because I would much, much rather – as shallow as it sounds – have Chanel on my vanity than Proactiv+. Even though the actives in Proactiv are no different than those in most acne products (benzoyl peroxide, etc…), nothing works as effectively. It is so weird. Their Emergency Blemish Relief
has 5% benzoyl peroxide – no other product has worked so quickly and effectively for me without drying out my skin or smelling bad. I honestly do not know what I would do without this line! Their core, three-piece kit is still my go-to, but when stress hits, I accidentally OD on dairy (which always makes me breakout), or I sweat excessively without washing my face quickly enough, I add in this blemish clearing product for an extra blemish fighting punch. If you’re at all like me and find yourself going nuts because you don’t feel like you should be dealing with acne at your age (seriously dealing with oncoming wrinkles is enough!), I’d urge you to give this product and/or Proactiv+’s three product base kit a try (their exfoliator is particularly great because it’s gentle enough to use everyday). It’s my new Clarisonic when it comes to emergency breakout relief!
