Healthy Breakfast Bowls that Taste Amazing

Anyone else obsessed with breakfast bowls? I blame In My Bowl! I actually don’t eat breakfast; I never have. I get up early, and I’d rather sleep than eat plus there’s an increasing amount of research that shows working out on an empty stomach is actually good (I compensate by saving my biggest meal for dinner). I may not eat them at breakfast, but post-workout or for lunch or dinner or really any time of day, I’m game for a breakfast bowl. Check out these favorites from Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Certified Raw Foods Chef and Vega Educator, Bridgette Leeson and one (the third one) from healthy food chef and writer Julie Morris…is your mouth watering yet?

Untitled2Chocolate Maca Acais Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients
* 2 frozen açai berry pack, unsweetened (I used these)
* 1 cup frozen strawberries
* 1 tsp Vega Maca powder
* 1 tsp cacao powder
* 1 serving Vega One Chocolate
* 1/4 cup almond milk

Topping Options
* 1/4 cup gluten-free granola (the crunchier the better)
* 1 tsp cacao nibs
* 1 tsp shredded coconut
* 1-2 tsp hemp hearts
* Sprinkle of cacao powder
* Fresh, sliced strawberries and/or banana slices

Preparation
* Blend all smoothie ingredients.
