Salvatore Ferragamo Salvatore Leather Bowling Bag: Boom Box

SalvatoreFerragamo_Bowling_Bag

Some things are great in theory and not so great in actuality. Salvatore Ferragamo’s Salvatore bag is one of those things. Conceptually, it’s intriguing, with cutout handles, a pocket-topped panel, and offbeat structure. But I can’t say I love this bag. It’s a bit too boxy for comfortable carrying and those handles are more clunky than cool. Coming in at a pretty hefty size (it’s 9” long and over 14” wide), it verges on entering weekender-duffel territory, though the lack of a shoulder-strap option forbids serious packing.

That’s not to say it necessarily deserves to be snubbed. I love any degree of innovation, and if all you care about is looking unique, while enjoying a duo of convenient, zippered pockets at your fingertips, then this chunky riff on the bowling bag is for you. I myself appreciate its modern design, which is certainly noteworthy – even if that note is not completely on key. Salvatore Ferragamo Salvatore bag on MATCHESFASHION.com for $3,478.
