An Italian shoe line just launched at Nordstrom, and believe me, this is a name you’re going to want to remember – Paolo Bentini. He’s a fifth generation shoemaker who ensures that every last sandal is handmade by skilled craftsman using the finest soft leathers. Sounds like they must be pretty expensive, right? Surprisingly, no! All of the sandals are under $100.
When Carrie met Manolo, it was on-screen magic. When Sarah Jessica met George, it was real-life retail magic. Meet the SJP Collection, currently sold exclusively at Nordstrom. I’ve seen my fair share of celebrity line launches, none as well-received as the response Ms. Parker just enjoyed.
My longtime friend the Blonde Salad continues her quest for world domination with a Steve Madden collaboration – 17 pairs in all! When it came to 1980s fashion, bigger was always better. Head banger bands like White Snake and Skid Row fueled this trend with video after video of girls rocking huge hair and writhing on cars in nothing but skimpy bikinis and white stilettos. As a high schooler, I wasn’t allowed to have pumps (I couldn’t even wear my high-tops or jellies except on the weekends).

The black suede and metallic gold leather on these T-straps from Charlotte Olympia (at Bergdorf Goodman for $1,195) … Continue reading Trend Alert: Art Deco Shoes

One of the most important styles to have is a travel-friendly flat. Maiyet’s two-tone leather sandals (on NET-A-PORTER … Continue reading Summer Essentials: Shoes for Every Occasion
