Prada Spring Collection

pradafringead.jpg

I remember those days when Prada held for me this fantasy and longing that motivated all my financial endeavors. Tina and I would walk into a Prada boutique to look at the new collection and like Scarlett O’Hara we vowed if we had to lie, cheat and steal, we would buy every single bag Prada ever made. * End of flashback * The current reality: there is absolutely nothing from the spring collection I would honestly pay even a small amount of money for. This mad cowboy fringe is not something I would get instead of a Bottega or Chanel. Now that’s just crazy talk. Did Miuccia and Michael Kors go on a City Slicker adventure together? WTF? It’s confusing. Is scary and hairy the new rage??

  1. Thank you! I USED to feel the exact same way about Prada! In fact, I once even ate Ramen noodles for three whole days because I spent all of my money on a new Prada bag. But what’s happened!?!? I do LOVE those turbans though!! Brook , London

  2. Could not agree with you more…it is beyond scary. Every season I try to figure out how many bags I could get because there are so many good choices, but not lately. Now you see why all the bags I asked you about (Help post from yesterday) are older.

PS. if you are in the mood for a good chuckle check out the Versace bags on eluxury.com

  3. Hey y’all Bagsnobs…

I really can’t stand the horrendous fringey bag! Haha, but if you take a look at the other bags, I really love the other designs especially for men! There’s this blue tote with a shoulder strap that looks really fantastic.. I recently got the Jacquard Logo tall carryall for men… It’s perfect!

    =)

  4. That was exactly my reaction upon seeing the bag above! I was so disappointed as Prada had been my long time’s favorite. The vivid colour nylon bags are ok, but the rest was -_-Thank god we still have miu miu. Hope Miucia is going to change for the better next season.

  5. You have no idea how I felt when I saw this bag last month. I felt betrayed. Et tu Miucia? Kelly and I used to buy each other Prada bags and charge it to our parents’ cards on the premise that they were “christmas gifts”. Needless to say, no Prada bags will be exchanged this season but I have ordered the juicy colored tunic tops(I’ll be wearing mine with pants 🙂

  6. Eeek! I know! I saw it in the latest issue of Harper’s and I was like “WTF is that hairy thing she’s got??”

Ick. Looks like an upside down mop.

  7. I love the model, Sasha, in these Prada campaigns but really, right now, she’s the only thing going for Prada. It seems that Prada AND Gucci have kinda taken a bit of a diversion at the moment and it is killing me!!!
