Henry Cuir Crinkled Leather Chateau

henrycuirchateau.jpg

Now that I’m getting ready for baby #2, I’ve been looking at large open totes and when I came across this Henry Cuir I knew my search has ended. I have always loved the simple chic styles of Henry Cuir and the whimsical beading detail on this crinkled leather is the perfect touch that gives it the “it” factor for me. Plus, how much cuter is this than some gross lame diaper bag? The bag has interior pockets and the leather is super lightweight, all good things for everyone, not just moms. At Barneys for $1625.

  1. Would be good for the beach too… handy to fit in a couple of beach towels etc etc. Would be interesting to see how the slightly crinkled leather wears over time…

  2. Hi! I stumbled upon this fabulous site from tpf (the purse forum). I love how you have some of my favorite bags-all here for me to drool over!

    Congrats on baby #2!

  3. I tried a similar Henry Cuir tote from Barney’s (the one that’s $1475 on their website), and the leather seemed very heavy to me. Is this leather different? Are the measurements different? Or is your reference point for “lightweight” perhaps different from mine?

  4. Hi Bag Snob!

Love LOVE Love reading your posts, it’s how I start my day. Recently while vacationing in Paris I found myself completely out of touch with world news and my email but still managed to be completely up to date on Bag Snob!

Speaking of Paris I was wondering why you’ve never posted on the Vanessa Bruno Lune Bag? It’s on the arm of every other Parisian girl not carrying one of the Gerard Darel Bags (on your top ten list). I’d love to hear what all you Bag Snobs out there think of it since it was such a big hit in France but I don’t hear a whisper about it on this side of the pond.

    Thanks!

    Isabel

  5. Off topic question – Bagsnobs, you are both originally from Taiwan, am I correct? Or did Tina just live there awhile? In any case as a proud New Zealander I am very excited that my fav local designer, Karen Walker, just opened her first international store there *yay*! Do you ladies know enough of her stuff to have an opinion? She doesn’t have a line of bags yet but I’d be interested to know what an always stylish snob thinks of KW’s designs…

  6. So I saw this bag up close and personal at Barneys and I have to tell you I am totally smitten by it’s softness and wearability.

Too bad I have to save my duckets for my taxes this year, but this particular bag is going to make a great toddler bag for me! I’m hoping hubby coughs up the dough and gets it for me for my birthday! Yay!
