Smythson of Bond Street – LA Opening

I just got this bag and I can not tell you how excited I am, I had the worst day yesterday and seeing this bag this morning totally made up for it. I will for sure get stopped left and right with this. The folds and pleats on this frame bag are so interesting and absolutely adorable because it makes the bag look like origami!! And brilliant too being that this is coming from a stationary company known for providing the personal stationery of people like Princess Diana and Sigmund Freud (their stationery can be seen in their in store museum). I have the chocolate which is just what I need but to celebrate their LA store opening, at 222 North Rodeo Drive, they have a limited edition Nancy bag in winter white, perfect all year round for sunny Southern California. This bag is only available in their Via Rodeo store, which is so beautiful and has the same look and feel of their Nottinghill store, with wood paneling and linen throughout. The back of the store is where you get the custom stationary done for your fab wedding! If you have no need for wedding invites, you can make personal note cards like I am going to do. They are so incredible and the envelope lining is luxurious. The bags are similarly lined with opulent colored satin, my chocolate has the most amazing purple lining, it makes me want to keep opening my bag just to look at it!! This bag also has the coolest closure, it is a sliding tab that fits into the slot – the best part is it doesn’t look undone even when it is undone! It is so hard to find a bag that is unique without being comical or dysfunctional, this is a real gem! The large Nancy is $1760, small is $1390 and $920 for the clutch, if you don’t live in London, NYC or near Rodeo Drive, it is available online at Smythson of Bond.
