The only unfun part of going to the beach is my constant anxiety that my kids are going to get sunburned. That goes for anywhere that is outdoors actually. Tender baby skin can get sunburned as quickly as 1 minute!! My pediatrician warned me that even with sunblock on, kids should not be in the sun for more than 15 minutes max. Uh, ok, that makes the trip to the beach a little rushed. For your sanity and the safety of your babies’ skin, get clothes with SPF protection. It works so much better than any other sun barriers and you don’t have to reapply. But to be perfectly honest, my paranoia requires that I use 50+ sunblock on top of sun protective clothing. Reapply every hour!
