Catherine Malandrino for Fall

beyonce_knowles.jpgChristie Brinkley and Beyonce have been spotted in the same Catherine Malandrino embroidered crochet top and I think they both look fab! You really can’t go wrong with Malandrino. I interned for her one summer back when I was in college and even had the opportunity to try on some of the clothes before they hit any of the stores for Malandrino herself when one of the fit models dropped-out last minute! The french designer is gorgeous in person and still very involved (as is her husband), in every aspect of her brand. Malandrino tops and dresses are very versatile and great for those days when you need an outfit that can take you from day-to-night. Check-out some of the pieces below that are a more fall take on the Brinkley/Beyonce top!

  1. Sharon you are one lucky lady…The LBD and tops look so cute!!

How did you enjoy being the stand in model?

  2. It was exciting especially being an intern at the time it was way more interesting than what I would have otherwise been doing! But I had just finished my freshmen year of college (ie put on a few lbs), and there was the gorgeous Catherine Malandrino tucking and pulling and looking along with a handful of other people and she’s very critical of the designs so she kept saying “Ah non c’est moche” in regards to the garments so I was so self-conscious the whole time..soo…excited but nerve racking!!

  3. Wow Sharon you must have ben sucking in that tum….I’m sure it was very nerve racking but an experience of a lifetime!

Do you have a job in fashion or just a sno blogger?!

  4. I tried about a million and one different things in fashion and have worked everywhere from Malandrino to Gucci to La Perla to Avon doing everything imaginable but in the end I’ve found that the parts of my various jobs that I enjoyed the most involved writing so I recently left my full-time job and am focusing on doing what I love most:)

  5. I’m sure you will find your own little success within the fashion industry and what a great place to be doing it at the snob sites! Good Luck! =)
