By the way, Nina promised us her FIRST online interview on her newest book- leave us your questions in comments and we’ll get them to Nina!

  1. this is so exciting for you and for us, your readers! knowing that Nina Garcia is also obsessively checking bagsnob.com makes me feel like a fashion insider!

i ordered mine last week but hope to win one for my sister. Congrats snobs!

  2. Tina—-I SO LOVE!!! that NG logs on to bagsnob from her blackberry…I can’t wait for the interview!!! and for her book!!! THX!! =)

  3. Tina: Have you ever considered showing us Etienne Aigner shoes, bags, scarves? There are some just fabulous articles there; wallets, etc. I believe they have showrooms in US and Europe. Earlier I used to buy Bruno Magli shoes, cause they were the best we could get here. Please take a look at their site too. Both EA and BM are great for`mature´women too!

  4. Hi B– I so love that we’re in NG’s book, too and am still pinching myself.

Mette- I have not thought of Etienne Aigner since I bought one of his bags back in 1995 in Hong Kong! I will certainly look into these brands you recommend. Bruno Magli is another old timer that I have not heard from in a long while. Will keep you posted!

Oh, and due to the response of the Gerard Darel giveaway, we’re going to try and double our entries each day as you all requested!

    xoxo

  5. Fabulous Tina….you girls are definately part of the Fashion ELite!!!

So excited about the extra entries!! I did mentione of the GD post in answer to your question to guest blogging not sure if you saw it!

P.S. Also how come Kelly does not often post comments back like you do….I know she has two little ones is it just having the time?!

  6. Hi Lottie, yes I saw it and we of course will keep up the quality of our posts and occasionally have a snob worthy fashionista jump in with a guest post 🙂

And that purplish color is called Violine- it’s a fabulous shade of violet that I am obsessed with. I have a lizard planner in that shade and plan to get it in a birkin next. I love the 25cm, it’s more than an evening bag– I fit loads of stuff in it, my big Kelly wallet, overstuffed make up bag, cell, camera, etc. It’s a great luncheon and shopping bag, too!

By the way, have you ordered your Goya bag yet? Each boutique only got a few… call Mindy if you want one!

    xoxo

  7. Thanks Tina…I await your posts with baited breath! =)

Violine is next on my Hermes hit list…any advice on whether or not I should ask in Paris when collecting a bag or should I purchase some trinkets and then ask?!

I haven’t order the Goya yet, I was hoping to hop over the pond to visit Mindy as she has been so fab to me! A while ago you mentioned a top secret you where in on to do with the Goya…do you ever share it with us? Have you seen the Goya in the coral that looks so fun…is it in the stingray material too?

    Wow so many questions…sorry Tina!

  8. Hey Ladies,

Congrats on being in Nina’s book. (i loved the first one)I was wondering if you could ask her about her transition from Elle to MC… Oh can you ask her how a girl like me from Dallas can make it in the fashion industry

Thanks on the school bag. You should do more on Kooba I just got one for school.

ps. ask her if this is a three part book deal

  9. Lottie, if I can suggest you a book about Chanel, I would recommend you Danielle Bott- Chanel Creations and Collections-a wonderful insight into the House of Chanel, which opened its private archives of brilliant designs created by Chanel from 1920 onwards.

  10. i can’t think of a question right now!

but i really want to get my hands on a copy of both of nina garcia’s books…she’s amazing!! (well, you bag snob ladies are just as awesome, lol)

  11. Lottie, sorry I have not answered your Chanel questions– let me go look at my book shelves and get back to you

    xo

  12. Okay Lottie- I went through my shelves and found these. I remember having a small paperback that was my favorite as it went into details of her youth but can’t seem to find that right now. What I found:

Chanel- The Couturiere At Work by Amy de la Haye (I love this one– lots of photos of Chanel as a young girl and her earlier designs)

Chanel- Her style and her life by Janet Wallach (this is more of a coffee table book that looks good. The cover is probably the best picture in it)

Chanel and her world Friends, Fashion, and Fame by Edmonde Charles-Roux (A nice pictorial biography)

    Hope this helps! xoxo

  13. so far I have two same books as Tina:) Apart from Little Black Book of Style I also have Chanel and her world Friends, Fashion, and Fame by Edmonde Charles-Roux-the people she was surrounded by-fascinating.
