Versace Venus Bag has warts

11951530_ombre_purple.jpgI almost gagged on the cranberry/room temp water concoction I drink each morning when I saw this bag. The wart like bumps on the Versace Venus stamped ostrich bag is so frightening that it gave me the goosebumps and I had to stop looking at it after 10 seconds so I am actually doing this review from memory and will allow my intern to upload the photo later. From what I recall, the patent tote was in varying shades of purple (pink being deemed “tired” by Donatella who says she now embraces purple) and stamped with giant bumps to resemble ostrich skin. In plain unstamped leather, it would have been a cute purple shoulder tote with side pockets but hell, that’s way too boring for Donatella.

This was also posted next to the bag– Please note: Bag exterior color is listed as purple but has a green hue under certain lights. Gee, if they were trying to convince me to buy this certainly sealed the deal. I’ve always wanted a bag that pretended to be purple but is really moldy green and covered with warts. 1. I only buy Hermes ostrich nowadays, Hermes has a trained artisan who’s sole job is to hand nail each quill flat. My Hermes ostrich kelly is smooth and gorgeous!

  2. Oh I threw up a little in my mouth. Warty AND iridescent! Gag.

On a side note, I do the cranberry-tepid water thing too! Do you do it because it helps prevent cellulite? Someone told me that, and I don’t understand the logic, but I’m doing it anyway! Hahaha …

  3. Lina– I think it’s highway robbery that anyone charges Hermes prices for an ostrich bag without offering the same Hermes quality!

  4. Yes, not only does it rid of cellulite, it keeps your metabolism going all day if you sip it slowly throughout the day. The idea is your body thinks it’s consuming calories and will work to burn it but pure organic cranberry has very little calories! I have gotten used to it and can’t drink plain water without it sometimes!

  5. Yes, I generally have 10 ounces of water to half an ounce to an ounce of pure cranberry. It is really sour!

Make sure it is organic, pure cranberry with no added water or juices.

Wholefoods and most groceries stores have it.
