Limited Edition Sergio Rossi Shoe Benefits Breast Cancer

sergio-rossi-shoetiff.jpgA few days ago while I was shopping at Colette in Paris I found out that shoe guru Sergio Rossi had teamed-up with Puma for a limited edition line of shoes. I don’t care much for sneakers so I was obviously intrigued to see what one of my favorite shoe designers came up with. The line will be available exclusively at Colette in January before hitting Sergio Rossi and Puma stores in March. Unfortunately the results are worse than any Puma Sneaker I’ve seen – see for yourself. Thankfully, when it comes to supporting a fabulous cause Rossi pulls out all the stops. The Italian designer has partnered with the Los Angeles County Affiliate Susan G. Komen Foundation and Race for a Cure and has designed a special platform heel, Pink Penelope ($650), that will be sold in Sergio Rossi boutiques with 10% of the sales being donated to the charity. The money raised goes directly to the Komen L A County Affiliate to help women who have symptoms of breast cancer, but cannot afford diagnostic work or breast cancer treatment. Susan G. Komen is also launching a Pinkitude Pink Ribbon Card campaign on October 16th with a cocktail reception at the Sergio Rossi boutique on Melrose. When you purchase a PINKITUDE Pink Ribbon Card for $50 dollars you’ll get tons of Melrose shopping benefits and discounts between October 16th and the 23rd. 100% of the Rink Ribbon card sales go directly to the charity and 5% of all retail purchases during that time will also be donated.

  1. This pump looks lovley this was a shoe in sergio range?

By tha way did you manage to pick up any of the VIP By Terry makeup, I couldn’t wait to see any reviews so I picked up a few items the other day…the touche eclait equivilant is just fabulous much better coverage and the selection of colours than the YSL and Esta Lauder I had resorted too, also I tried a bronzer and that is equally divine!

Be interested to hear your thoughts!

P.S. Also I am intrigued why everyone loves Collete in Paris, when I went they have such a small collection was I missing something?!

  2. Haven’t picked it up yet — I’ve been on an anti-aging/stress product kick lately! But about Colette you are so right it is one of the most over-rated stores (always thought it’s like a high-end Urban Outfitters!), but it’s so conveniently located next to so many other great shops and next to Costes and other places for lunch that I always end up stopping in at least once. Plus the cafe downstairs is pretty cute as well..the real gem in Paris is L’eclaireur:)

  3. Check-out their website — http://www.leclaireur.com/v2/

They have multiple boutiques in Paris all of which are worth checking out if you have time (5 though you can skip the men’s ones if you like:)), but if you don’t have time the best one is in the Marais on Rue des Rosiers. They also often collaborate with artists so they’ll have interesting art and such to admire and they just opened a bar/restaurant as well:)
