Limited Edition Sergio Rossi Shoe Benefits Breast Cancer

sergio-rossi-shoetiff.jpgA few days ago while I was shopping at Colette in Paris I found out that shoe guru Sergio Rossi had teamed-up with Puma for a limited edition line of shoes. I don’t care much for sneakers so I was obviously intrigued to see what one of my favorite shoe designers came up with. The line will be available exclusively at Colette in January before hitting Sergio Rossi and Puma stores in March. Unfortunately the results are worse than any Puma Sneaker I’ve seen – see for yourself. Thankfully, when it comes to supporting a fabulous cause Rossi pulls out all the stops. The Italian designer has partnered with the Los Angeles County Affiliate Susan G. Komen Foundation and Race for a Cure and has designed a special platform heel, Pink Penelope ($650), that will be sold in Sergio Rossi boutiques with 10% of the sales being donated to the charity. The money raised goes directly to the Komen L A County Affiliate to help women who have symptoms of breast cancer, but cannot afford diagnostic work or breast cancer treatment. Susan G. Komen is also launching a Pinkitude Pink Ribbon Card campaign on October 16th with a cocktail reception at the Sergio Rossi boutique on Melrose. When you purchase a PINKITUDE Pink Ribbon Card for $50 dollars you’ll get tons of Melrose shopping benefits and discounts between October 16th and the 23rd. 100% of the Rink Ribbon card sales go directly to the charity and 5% of all retail purchases during that time will also be donated.
