2Fish Kids “My Week Calendar”

calendar_concept.jpg

Does your tot ask you about “yesterday” and “tomorrow” in a way that makes it obvious she has no concept what it means? And forget it if you try to explain that the birthday party is not until Saturday (and it’s only Monday). When this calendar was introduced to me, I thought, sure, why not, I’ll give it a try, what’s the harm? Well, I have had it for 2 weeks now and already my 3 1/2 year old is totally getting it. She loves looking at the calendar every day to see what activities are planned for the day and what is coming up the next day. We plan out the week and she already is able to tell me which days she has music class (Thursday)! There is a special character that denotes “today” and 2 other ones for “yesterday” and “tomorrow”. It not only teaches her the concept of time but it makes her feel in control of the crazy unpredictable world she lives in. It comes with a bunch of magnets for various events and activities but the calendar itself is also a dry erase board (as well as a full magnetic back) so you can add in your own special events. There are even weather magnets so she can learn what that’s all about as well. It is available at Stork Baby Boutique for $16.50 but they are offering Tot Snob readers a 15% discount with code “Totsnob15” which makes it only $14! I bought a ton of these already as holiday gifts. Free shipping with orders of $85 or more. FYI: This is a Canadian website so all the prices you see on there are CAD. The prices I just quoted here are USD. They only take Paypal so if you have an account, perfect! If not, you will need to set one up to purchase from them.
