Baby Boss Experience Center in Taiwan

I know this is a total tease because unless you are in Taipei, you cannot experience this amazing place. I just got back from a 2 week trip to Taiwan and Hong Kong with my 2 tots and it was hectic and exhausting but totally worth it. I will be posting stories with mishaps and tips I learned along the way later this week but I want to start with the highlight, as far as tot adventures go. Baby Boss takes over an entire floor at the Living Mall and is a sort of amusement park for 3-15 year olds. There are 47 activities all based on a job or career and they range from astronaut, banker, flight attendant, pilot, pastry chef, judge, archeologist to doctor. So you get the picture, there is quite a range. The props and accoutrements for each is quite impressive and astounding, they include the head of an airplane for the Flight Attendant / Pilot jobs and a Lunar Module for the Space Mission. Each activity requires dressing up for the part, a training process and then the job performance. In most instances, they finale is shared with the adult tag-alongs as they act as customers, clients or patients. They end the task with a paycheck that they can use to buy pizzas, cookies and other food that is made in the corresponding jobs. And if they so choose, they can open a bank account and save their money to earn interest for next time. This complex is built like a miniature city and has all the functioning parts, including public transportation (every aspect is a job). You can choose to participate in just one job for around $8 or $35 for a full day with as many as you can fit in. This is such a great idea, now my wheels are churning, maybe there is a new business venture in my horizon =)

  1. Hi Kelly,

I think Baby Boss got the idea from Kidzania in Mexico. We have one here in Jakarta, Indonesia. It is indeed a fun place for kids and adults.
